Description

The Bursting Strength Test Machine measures how much pressure paper, cardboard or corrugated board can take before it tears - it works from 0 to 40 Kg/cm² and reads changes as small as 0.1 Kg/cm². The upper clamp holds the sample with a 35.5 mm opening - the lower clamp uses a 38.1 mm opening - the sheet stays tight while pressure rises. Indian builders use strong metals and seals - the unit runs for years in plants or labs. A hand pump forces oil under the sample until the sheet bursts - a sensor sends the peak value to a four digit screen. The reading lets staff check that lots meet ISO 2759, TAPPI T 807 or any internal limit. Box plants and textile mills rely on this figure to prove their goods will survive transit.
