Description

The Bursting Strength Tester for Corrugated Box measures how much pressure a box or sheet can take before it tears - it works up to 40 Kg/cm² and reads changes as small as 0.1 Kg/cm². The upper clamp holds the sample with a 35.5 mm hole - the lower clamp uses a 38.1 mm hole. Both clamps grip the material while oil pushes a rubber diaphragm against it. Pressure rises until the sample fails - the peak value appears on the digital screen. The frame is built in India from machined steel and anodized aluminum - it stays square plus leak-free after thousands of cycles. Packers use the recorded burst value to check that every batch of board meets the minimum strength written in IS 1060, TAPPI T 810 or FEFCO 4. The same figure lets stack-height and truck-route plans stay within safe limits during storage and transit.
